Tanzania Water and Environmental Sanitation (TWESA) is a Tanzanian NGO that is dedicated to enabling people to access clean water, good sanitation and hygiene.

Access to clean and safe water is still a problem for many people in Tanzania. TWESA aims to address this problem through construction of water points, protection of water sources and community training on appropriate water resource management. Click here for more information.

TWESA aims to improve sanitation in communities through construction of appropriate latrines and hand washing facilities, as well as improved waste management. Click here for more information.

TWESA includes hygiene promotion as an integral part of WASH activities, through community awareness raising events, education of school children and teachers, implementation of school WASH clubs and working with community leaders. Click here for more information.
